Our Commitment to Safety and Excellence
Safety has always been our number one priority. We are the only Black Hills helicopter operator fully compliant with the FAA Part 5 Safety Management System (SMS)—a distinction that reflects our proactive, structured approach to identifying and managing safety risks. While this is a requirement by regulation in 2027, Black Hills Aerial Adventures has deployed and maintained our SMS long before it became a rule consistent with our above and beyond approach.
We are a FAA certified air carrier under Part 135, and hold many other FAA certifications for our various aerial services::
Our fleet of nine professionally inspected and meticulously maintained helicopters are serviced to standards that exceed FAA and manufacturer requirements, ensuring peak performance, safety and reliability year-round.
Dakota Rotors exists to provide unparalleled services at the highest levels of safety and customer service.
We view all activities through the lens of risk management, dedicated to do no harm to persons, equipment, property, or our team. We value the Sacred Trust placed in us by our customers and guests.
We do the right thing every time, even when no one is looking. We are open and honest,
emotionally intelligent, and communicate freely without fear.
We view all of our actions through a lens of service. We focus externally to serve our customers, the community, and our team.
